The Team Behind the Care

Behind every exam, treatment, or surgery is a team that truly loves what they do. Our veterinarians and support staff work closely together to create a calm, supportive environment for the pets who rely on us.

Dr. Felton
Dr. Felton

Dr. Felton graduated from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine in 1998. After earning her degree, she and her husband, Chris, returned home to El Dorado County, where she had graduated from Oak Ridge High School. Before founding Companion Animal Hospital, Dr. Felton practiced in Fair Oaks, El Dorado Hills, and Folsom. She has a special interest in service dogs for law enforcement, search and rescue, therapy, assistance, and guide work. When she’s not at the clinic, Dr. Felton enjoys playing soccer and being a mom to her two daughters, Madison and Katie.

Dr. Rodda
Dr. Rodda

A graduate of the University of California, Davis School of Veterinary Medicine in 1998, Dr. Rodda began her career in Jackson, California, before returning to her hometown of San Jose, where she practiced for over 16 years. Her professional passions include internal medicine, preventative care, and senior pet health. Now settled in the Sierra foothills with her husband and two children, Dr. Rodda enjoys the area’s rural charm, hiking, camping, dancing, and leading a Girl Scout troop with her sister. She’s thrilled to be part of the Companion Animal Hospital team and looks forward to meeting local pet families.

Barbara Otrubova
Dr. Otrubova

Dr. Otrubova graduated from Cornell University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2006 after completing her undergraduate studies at UC San Diego. She practiced in Mendocino County for seven years before moving to the Sierra Foothills in 2013. Her special interests include soft tissue surgery, dentistry, and feline medicine — making her an invaluable member of our orthopedic veterinarians in Cameron Park, CA. Outside of work, Dr. Otrubova enjoys camping, kayaking, gardening, and spending time with her family, which includes two dogs, a cat, a guinea pig, five chickens, and a small herd of sheep.
